This “digital mutirão” brings together European Climate Pact Ambassadors and global citizens to coordinate and showcase collective climate actions. Inspired by the Brazilian concept of “mutirão”—community-driven, voluntary work—this initiative empowers individuals and organizations to align their local climate efforts with global goals, making every action visible and impactful. The digital infrastructure enables sharing resources, tracking progress, and amplifying stories of change, all in support of the UN climate process and COP30.
A mutirão is a Brazilian word for “collective work” o “community event“, referring to community-led action where people come together to accomplish a shared goal.
Objectives
Foster Citizen Engagement: Encourage active participation from citizens and communities through the network of Climate Pact Ambassadors, making climate action accessible and inclusive.
Provide Resources for Action: Offer digital tools, guides, and platforms that empower individuals and organizations to take meaningful climate actions and connect with global efforts, especially in the context of COP30.
Amplify Local Impact Globally: Promote the idea that local initiatives—when shared and coordinated digitally—can drive continental and global change, inspiring others and influencing policy.
Visible and Measurable Climate Actions: Local actions are tracked, showcased, and aligned with global climate goals, making individual contributions part of a larger, impactful movement.
Empowered Storytelling for COP30: A compelling narrative emerges, highlighting how collective digital efforts led by Ambassadors inspire bold commitments and climate empowerment worldwide.
